Paws with Cause
Our core values include giving back to the community which is why we are excited to display painting kits for Paws with Cause. We believe these painting kits bring true value to the animals and to the creative artist within.
Purchase one of these kits for $20 and you get a canvas, paint, brush, and even a photo with information about the wonderful animal you are donating to. The kits in our office support Whatcom area animals but there are plenty of other animals to support that can be viewed on their website. These make wonderful gifts for both artists and animal lovers during the holiday season! Rooted in Art does not receive any payment for these kits, 100% of your payment goes directly to supporting the cause!

Rooted in Art is founded on the principle of Art Accessibility to All. This isn’t just about giving folks the ability to create art, but also encouraging them to and creating a safe, welcoming and exciting space to do so! And it’s working! While the gallery may not be a money maker, we’ve received an abundance of gratitude, smiles and pride as folks leave with an unexpected piece of their own art in their hands.
AND IT’S FREE!
We find that getting somebody to sit down and make a leaf print or a post card for a friend is more important to us than making sure to make money. As such, goal number one is to create a barrier-free space to create art.
Nonetheless, we do have rent and material costs, and for those who love the idea and are in a financial position to support our gallery and keep it open and available to all, we greatly appreciate your contribution! We are a for-profit LLC at this time, so it is a taxable donation, but this may change in time.
